UtilHero is a free collection of web tools. By using the site you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, not to be survived — if anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it.
Using the tools
Everything on UtilHero is free to use, for personal or commercial work, with no account and no licence to buy. You do not need our permission to use a result — a converted file, a generated password, a calculated figure — in anything you are doing.
We ask three things in return: don't try to break the site or the people using it, don't use the tools to do something illegal, and don't hammer the site with automated traffic. Copying the whole site to republish it elsewhere is the one use we do object to.
Your data stays yours
Almost every tool here runs entirely on your device. The text, files, and numbers you put into them are not sent to us, not stored, and not looked at — so you keep every right you had in whatever you put in, and we gain none.
The Dynamic QR Code Generator is the exception, because a dynamic code has to point somewhere. What it stores and how to delete it is set out in the Privacy & Cookie Policy. You are responsible for the destination you point a code at, and we may remove a code that points at something harmful or illegal.
What we promise, and what we don't
We build these tools carefully and test the maths, but they are provided as they are, with no guarantee. We can't promise the site will always be available, that every result is correct for your situation, or that a tool will keep working the way it does today.
Check anything that matters. A calculator here is not financial, medical, legal, or engineering advice. A loan figure, a BMI, a tax total, or an engineering conversion should be confirmed with a professional or an authoritative source before you act on it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss that follows from relying on a result, from the site being unavailable, or from a file you processed here.
Advertising
Ads keep UtilHero free. They are supplied by an outside advertising service, and we don't choose or endorse the individual ads you see. What is advertised to you, and whether it is based on your interests, depends on the choice you make in the consent panel — see the Privacy & Cookie Policy. Anything you buy from an advertiser is between you and them.
Our content and yours
The UtilHero name, logo, design, and written content belong to us. You are welcome to link to any page. Reproducing substantial parts of the site elsewhere, or presenting the tools as your own, is not permitted.
If you believe something on UtilHero infringes your copyright, email us at [email protected] with the page address, what the material is, and proof you hold the rights. We review these promptly and remove anything we shouldn't be hosting.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top always shows the current version, and continuing to use UtilHero after a change means you accept it. We don't make changes retroactive.
