Free web utilities, zero clutter.
UtilHero is a growing collection of free, browser-based utilities — unit and colour converters, calculators, encoders, text and JSON tools, generators, and more. Each one is built to do a single job quickly and well, with no sign-up, no install, and no wading through ads to reach the thing you came for.
Private by design. Whatever you type, paste, or upload into a tool is processed in your browser— it isn't sent to, stored on, or logged by our servers. That means the tools are fast, work on any device, and keep your data yours.
Free, thanks to ads. UtilHero is funded by advertising rather than subscriptions, so everything stays free for everyone. We keep ads out of the way of the tools themselves, and you control ad personalisation through our cookie settings.
Where that has an exception. One tool has to keep something: the dynamic QR code generator stores the destination link you enter, because the whole point of a dynamic code is that you can re-point it later without reprinting it. It also counts scans by date, country, and device type. You can delete a code and its history at any time from its edit link. Every other tool keeps your input on your device.
How the tools are built. Each one does a single job, and the logic behind it — the conversion factors, the formulas, the parsing rules — is covered by automated tests that run before anything ships. Where a tool follows a published standard, it follows the standard rather than an approximation: contrast scores use the WCAG formula, passwords use your browser's cryptographic randomness, and unit conversions use the internationally agreed factors.
